Weles refinishes, installs and repairs hardwood floors across Greater Boston. Our showroom is at 800 Boylston Street in Chestnut Hill, where you can compare wood and stain colors side by side before you choose.
Most refinishing jobs start with one question: how much sanding does this floor need? We offer three levels. The top one adds a Lagler Trio fine sander, which leaves a smoother surface than a standard buffer. It makes the most sense in large open rooms.
What to expect on a job:
- HEPA vacuums on the sanders and plastic film over open areas, at no extra cost
- Water-based Bona finishes that let you stay in the house while we coat
- Bona DriFast stains in 24 colors, which can be mixed to match a room
- Stair treads and floor repairs, not only full rooms
For new floors we use Select and Better lumber, let it acclimate for several days, and check subfloor moisture before installing. Boards wider than 3 1/4 inches also get glued down.
